« on: August 11, 2003, 02:32:50 PM »
Hi all,
I put my hand on some HDF games and wanted to know if they can be used on my amiga because I dont have a pc and winuae (how need one anyway). So far the only info I got is from cloanto amiga explorer but everything is related to winuae and nothing how to use them on a real amiga.

Well, I think you're talking about the harddisk file format used by WinUAE. Maybe a mountfile can be created to read them on the Amiga but I wouldn't bet on it.
It depends what format they used, I suggest you to ask them, go to their homepage and leave a message.

You can use XFS or FMS or the like to mount the HDF as a drive on AmigaOS. Then copy the files from it to your hdd. Or even try to start the game directly from the mounted drive.

Bye,
