CD Drive Items appear twice on Workbench
« on: April 06, 2008, 05:07:04 PM »
I just got a Plexwriteer 12/10/32S from an Ebay auction.  I'm pretty happy with it accept that when I put a disc in the drive it shows up twice on Workbench.  For example, when I put the OS3.9 disc in the drive the following icons appear:
AmigaOS3.9
AmigaOS3.9.0
Emergency-Boot
Emergency-Boot

(note the .0 suffix on one of the AmigaOS3.9 icons)

This drive is plugged into a Cyberstorm PPC in an A3000D, along with a 36GB hard drive.  The SCSI bus looks like:
Act-Term - CYBPPC - HD - CD(term)

Anyone have any in site?

Check your devs:dosdrivers folder. I suspect you have a cd mountfile in there, as well as having the CSPPC set to mount the CD rom - consequently the CD drive is mounted twice. Simple way to check - move the cd mountfile somewhere else and do a cold reboot.
