There is a thread on the A1k.org forums about someone that had his BPPC upgraded to a 275mhz CPU and it is working so it can be done for a price. I'll see if I can find the posts about it.

What is the fastest PPC 603 avaliable (in BGA form)?

Freescale offers 300 MHz as fastest version.
