I haven't played games on my A1200T for a while, so I haven't had it connected to my speakers (the speakers are usually connected to my IBM PC compatible). But yesterday I wanted to play Quake on the A1200, so I connected it (Paula sound)... quiet... turning up the volume to max made me hear some faint sounds. Then I booted Sensi from a floppy and got the same results so it's a hardware problem, not software.
Has anyone had the same problem and/or knows what could be the cause? I've got a BlizzardPPC+BVision and two hard drives and a CD drive connected to the BlizzardPPC SCSI interface. Since I haven't had the sound connected for a while I don't know what could have caused the silence. I did mess with the SCSI interface when I installed a new HD and a scanner a while back, but I don't what that has to do with audio.
Hey, wait a minute... I have a Power Tower... and that's built by Elbox... maybe they built in a function so that if you use an accelerator by another manufacturer than Elbox the sound is trashed... if I'm stupid enough not to wait for the SharkPPC and get a BlizzardPPC instead, Elbox can't be held responsible for the consequences, because the ones who use other accelerators "are not real users, they are puppets of other producers who cannot make their own decisions and who subdue to persuasion of their 'upperdogs.'... ...They are underprivileged due to their clinging to other solutions".
