I dont have much time to play with my amigas anymore  :-(  due to work. In the next year i will have a kid, even less time to play. Do i put it all in storage for a computer history lesson for my kids or my own retirement. Or do i sell up to which i will probably regret. What do you think?

Stash them. :)

Mmmm much more thought needed. I know if i did sell up i would try and sell it all in 1 hit. The postage is enough headache to put me off for now unless it was all picked up in a van. Bleh i hate getting old.

Give it some good thought, don't do anything you may regret later.  Do yourself a favour; try stashing your Amigas on the loft and pick them out again in a year.  Then, if you feel no joy, sell.  If you do, don't.

Trust me, you'll have time nerding even with a kid in the house.  The first few months you'll hardly use your computer(s) at all.  Maybe check some mail and such, but nothing more.  After 6-12 months, when things have stabilized, you'll slowly start picking things up again.  And by the time the little one is a toddler, you'll realize that the day has been split in two: before and after junior's bedtime.  You're a full-time dad when (s)he's awake, and you're the same nerd as always afterwards.

No need to be pessimistic about growing up.  Age is only a number, your state of mind will not change.

Cheer up and congratulations with the little bun in the oven ;-)

Firstly, Congratulations - being a Dad is the best thing that ever happened to me. Plus look - here I am posting to Amiga.org so it must not take ALL of you time. Well, actually - it does take a lot but it's well worth every minute.

However, I would strongly recommend against selling anything that you like/love because you won't have time you use it. There's always tomorrow. I sold my A4000/030 which was absolutely pristine with the battery prfessionally removed, a Catweasel card, high speed I/O(modems were still big here) because I thought I could get over how much I enjoyed the Amiga.

Well, I came back a few years later and guess what? I can barely afford a real Amiga 4000 because of how collectible they are. Then it died on me in a month. Trust me if you have a good working machine - remove any batteries and store them somewhere.
