...thought I might as well do a proper introduction.
I'm 34 years old, Danish, living in Copenhagen.
Got a C64 back in '85, replaced by a C128 in '87. I did a lot of BASIC programming on those machines and watched a lot of demos, but sadly never really got into coding assembly on them, although I wanted to.
The C128 was replaced by an A500 in '89. I loved playing around in Soundtracker and finally got into assembly coding. I added a GVP 120 meg HD to the 500 at one point, but sold it within a year to buy the 1200 when it came out.
I haven't really used the Amiga for about 10 years, but during the past year I've rediscovered it and have spec'ed the old 1200 up a bit. Replaced the '030 card I got with an '060, added a Lyra and Cocolino so I can use it through the rather nice KVM unit I have together with my other computers - the 1200 simply hangs suspended underneath my desk.
I work as a programmer. One thing I've discovered now that I've revived the 1200 - the Amiga is still the most fun to program. It's just so incredibly easy and straightforward compared to other platforms. It's just so much easier to get things done.
Back in the day I was fairly active in the demoscene, the most well known demos I've done were probably In the Kitchen and How 2 Skin a Cat, although my personal favourite is Emptyhead. I don't care much for the more recent demos and have long since stopped following the 'scene.
Anyway, it's good to be back :-D
