How much load can a A4000D PSU take?

I have the following in my miggy:
-CSPPC 060@50mhz 604e@180mhz (w/2 fans) and 96MB RAM
-CVPPC
-PIV
-10GB UW SCSI disk
-Plextor SCSI CD ROM
-Commodore A2065
-Prelude

At first it all worked fine (10 minutes). But then the HD can only be seen sometimes during early startup. But it always boots to the "insert a disk" screen.

The symptoms appeared after I uninstalled P96, and installed CGXv4. The system works fine without the SCSI devices attatched.

Other symptom is the fan on the PPC, it will "jerk" imtil I blow on it, and then it'll start up fine.

Do I need more power? The PSU is a bog stanard A4k PSU.

It may well be power related issue.

You could consider an Amiga 4000 ATX Adapter with switch and add a powerful ATX PSU to your Amiga.

I've just removed everything and added each component back. Making sure I have a working setup before adding the next one.

So, having the CVPPC as the last component to add. And then adding it, the Amiga goes into a never ending boot/reboot cycle. It reboots as it either hits setpatch or the CDROMs spins up. It seems that setpatch makes the CDROM spin up, and then it reboots.

When I boot with no startup sequence, and then enter setpatch, with no arguments, and then execute the startup (DISABLEROMMODULES "scsi.device" is in the Startup-sequence). Then startup sequence is loaded. But as it tries to mount the dosdrives, it just hangs (CD0 initialization).

So yeah. My PSU is maxed out. I'm thinking that I'll go to a tower then, as it's already getting silly hot in the Deskotp with the PPC and CVPPC in there.
