Amiga prices on Ebay are high because people are LAZY.
There are only a few thousand amiga enthusiasts, yet millions of amigas were sold to people who care nothing for the machine, they very likely stuffed the amiga in a cupboard or loft as soon as software started to dry up, that's if we are lucky, they are just as likely to have thrown their amiga out like last years PC.
We MUST advertise in local papers to find these unwanted machines before they do get thrown away. these owners either don't know or don't care that there are people who still want these machines.
So place a wanted advert in your local paper, you may be surprised at what turns up, even if you advertise for a month of sundays, it will be cheaper than buying off Ebay.
I would not be surprised if some of the ebay items have been bought and sold several times, driving up the price each time, so save yourself some cash and buy locally.
