GVP HC+8 SCSI help needed
« on: February 22, 2008, 06:14:26 PM »
I have an GVP A2000 HC+8 Series II Rev 1 SCSI/Ram card.
The card looks in very good condition but doesn't see
the ram (8 megs) or the SCSI drive (Conner 1 gig).
I've checked Amiga Big Book and have the jumpers set
correctly.
When the card is installed the computer boots fine.
Its like the computer doesn't even know its there.

Anyone know anything about these cards (querks/problems)?

Yes.. the rom is there, but I have no way of checking if
its good.
Also this card uses a GVP SCSI chip (not a WD chip).

Try to remove the BIOS chip and see if the pins are ok!
When I bought my GVP HC+8 the chip was broken and I had to buy a new one... :(
