Hello HACKERS and CODERS want a cool project? A600 N-PAD!

Wonder why no one has thought of this.

But there must be a way to create a FUNCTION key on the A600 to turn the normal numbers into a NUMERIC keypad just like on a Laptop, along with some software to let you choose which key you want to use as the FUNTION key (perhaps the most useless key or a key combination)

If its a hardware hack, it should allow it to work in games such as F/A 18 Simulator to change the airial views.

get to hacking! :-)

There are these:

Doubt they work with hardware unfriendly software - though I wouldn't have thought any software solution would.

would it be worthwhile? I think it'd be quite a hassle to make it. It needs a thingy between the mobo and keyboard..

I wonder why C= never did it. All laptops, even then, had such hardware.

If that what you want this for, would it not be easier to ask  Wepl or JOTD of WHDLoad to incorporate a key-remapping into that WHDload slave?

That would be cleaner and easier than any hardware hack.

I maybe underestimating the work, but I would imagine it would be a short job (especially for JOTD the author of that slave) to hack in the remapping.

Perhaps such a function could even be incorporated into the core of WHDload and work for all existing slaves?
