WTB: A few A500 chips
« on: February 16, 2008, 01:18:04 PM »
Hi!  I just got an A500 motherboard (B52 rock lobster), but it's missing some components, so I thought I'd hear if someone have a spare couple they are willing to part with.

I currently need the odd and even CIA chips, and Denise.  A spare 68000 would be nice too, but it's not a must.

I can pay a few bucks each + shipping.
Code 6502 asm or... DIE!!

CPU: Strange game, the only way to win is not to play.
Skurk: But I only want to spend $10 total. (Guess).
CPU: Suggest we play another game? Those items are $35-45.

I do have them, but pulling them from a CPU after testing is also not worth $10.

With the money it will cost you, by the looks of things id say your better off buying a whole A500, they are so cheap and there are always loads on ebay.

.. unless you A500 its rare/special ?

What's the difference?
Either you replace the chips in a rare/special A500 for $$$,
Or, you buy a different A500 (hopefully with much yellowing, missing floppy, missing keys, broken case) for $, and then replace the chips in a rare/special A500.
Either way, you end up with a rare/special A500 with different chips.

Funny how you can buy a whole A500 for $10, but for 1 chip inside it >$10?  LOL
Going Bananas over AMIGAs since 1987...

Greed. Nothing more. They know folks will pay it for their beloved Amigas.

No idea if it fits your needs.
