I would like to invite all Amiga users that live near, or will be visiting the Southern California area during the Spring of 2008 to join me for a day of Amiga fellowship, fun and possibly education. The date is not set yet, so I am open to suggestions. If the number of participants is less than 25 I will be happy to host this event in my home in the beautiful resort community of Big Bear Lake. If by some miracle the number of participants exceeds that number, another facility will be found. This is not a stuffy formal affair, just a bunch of people that appreciate Amiga computers getting together to share experiences and stories and talk about the current state of Amiga developments. I will hopefully be demonstrating my Minimig v1.1, MorphOS on Classic via Phase5 PPC and maybe AmigaOS4.0 on Classic and I encourage others to bring any Amiga related hardware or software to show to the group.
Another possible activity for the group to participate in would be a prize give away and the opportunity to sell or trade Amiga hardware and software items. I will provide the Amiga related prize item that will have a value of at least $50 US dollars.
So, please respond with your interest in this event and provide suggestions for the possible date(s) that would work for you to attend. There are a couple of holidays in February that provide 3 day weekends for many people, and that would be the earliest month that I could prepare for, but I will consider any date prior to June first as a valid possibility.
I hope many of you Amiga.org members can make it here.
