Extension cable?

So the way I'm trying to set up my office desk ("MY COMMAND CENTER!!"),
the A500's monitor cable would not reach the monitor itself.
I really like the way I'm trying to organize my workstation and that seems to be the
only problem with the set up. Anyways, is there such thing as some sort of extension cable,
or atleast a longer monitor cable that originally comes with the system?

My newer 1084S used to be the type with the 9 pin analog monitor jack on the back of the monitor and the bigger plug in the back of the computer.  I was able to run a 9-pin extension cable from the monitor to the monitor cable that way.  What kind of monitor is it?

It's a 1084 monitor.
