amiga os 4 on mac ppc. lets end it!

i hear this subject has been churning the guts of some people just hearing the subject so lets end it then. who can actually code? and who has the time? i fear most of us here are gamers? dear oh dear! :lol:

I suspect anyone who's willing to take on the task is already working on it whether we yap about it or not.  Just like the new PPC solutions.

I fear that a few that know how to complete the code will do so for just themselves and the rest of us will be out of luck.

But, I don't think wishing that I could run OS4.x on my PPC PowerBook and posting it on any and all Amiga forums with the hope that those coders that have succeeded running OS4 on their Macs will see it and eventually find a way to anonymously release it to all of us, is whining or a pipe dream.  I believe that someday it will be released.

If you don't want to read those kind of posts, just don't click on any thread that has the words OS4 and Mac in its title.

i was looking for people to say "yep i'm a coder and have time. maybe something may turn up on the net soon" as there are no legal ramifications? (spell that.) and have a list of people so we know how many are out there or alternatively we get the idea "nope i play games on the amiga and thats all..." i suspect no one will reply but at least we know!  :-)

Personally, I don't think it will ever happen.. but a lot of us never thought OS4 would come out properly either - so you never know. ;-)

Wow, people see an opportunity to get things moving and an option that has already technically been proven feasible, gets quite a few people excited, and all you think to do is laugh about it. I guess you are one of the soap opera Amiga people...

I don't really play many games these days, I'm a 'serious' user who uses his computer to earn a living..

It's a blizzard of law suits, and you want to add more to the howling winds?  If your going to do an illegal port, why in blazes would you want to do it on a out of production Mac?  Does it make sense to port to a dead platform when you are trying to escape another dead platform?

it's the lack of support from apple that kills an apple computer. and for good reason obviously thats how they boxshift! amiga os would breath new life into an old mac. and in the short term would be a great solution. but there is no one working on it well according to the number who are willing to say so out loud. legally do they have any reason to fear?
