Hi - I am looking for some 4MB SRAM PCMCIA card(s) for mu A1200. If anyone has any extras they'd like to part with, PMAIL me the info. My zip code is South Carolina, 29403
CD TV / Remote / Trackball Remote / Keyboard / CDTV 1411 External Drive / C= 1405 256K RAM / Smell the fear!

Keep your eye on ebay. You can easily get a 2Mbyte one for under $40 on a good day.

2Mbytes Chip and 2Mbytes FAST should be enough for anything you want to do with vanilla A1200. WHDload etc.

The cost of a 4Mbyte PCMCIA card is too much. You'd be better off getting a Trap Door RAM card with 8 Mbytes for the same price, or even an A1230 accelerator.

If you dont have a hard drive, you should get one of those first. Either a real hard drive, or an IDE CF card adapter.

These are great on A600s, which have a 16 bit data bus ( so does the card and the PCMCIA port).  

I think a 32 bit wide ram expansion is normally better (faster) on the A1200.
