WTB A500, A1000 or A2000
« on: November 05, 2007, 01:31:21 AM »
Looking to buy a barebones Amiga System, A500, A1000, or A2000.  Not really looking to do anything special with this, just want something to play around with for cheap. Miss my Amiga from the "old days"

(Please send PM or mail to hvacken@yahoo.com)
Thanks.

Hope you find what you are looking for, but to be realistic, the words Amiga and Cheap are like trying to mix oil and water.  You can find a cheap PC and run WinUAE/AmigaForever if you don't find the Amiga you are looking for at the right price.

Good Luck,
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

mix oil and water

Have you ever tried mixing oil and water?

You get a white (ish) guey substance liquid. Often used as coolant in industrial metalworks equipment.

If you just want a plain unexpanded A500 to play some games you don't have to spend any more than $10 or $15. These machines can be found almost everywhere, and not seldom even for free (if you don't mind the case being banana yellow or even darker). If you want an A1200, or even worse, an A4000T, THEN you should prepare to pay big bucks. Not for an old A500 with 100 disks, a mouse and a joystick (and no pc with WinUAE can beat that in playability)

Yeah, a 500 or 1000 that I can play some games on is exactly what I'm looking for.  Not looking for a 1200 or 4000.  I have  WinUAE and Amiga Forever, but I just want an actual Amiga to play around with and set up next to my Commodore 64.  Back in the day, I had a A1000, A500, A2000, and an A1200 and a ton of  ad ons that I either gave or threw away.
