Drivers/files from Net to my Amiga from PC
« on: July 11, 2003, 09:46:40 PM »
Hi folks
Help again please.  I am trying to set up Miami for internet connection via ethernet connect to my PC.  I have general idea what I need as advised earlier on another thread, but can anyone advise how to get necessary file from PC (downloaded) to my Amiga so I can get connection going.
Thanks

if the problem is, that you need to get a file from the pc to your miggy (and you´re not able to get miami work, yet) the easiest solution should be a nullmodem cable. in combination with a normal terminal program on both sides you can transfer the needed files.

else, use your tcp connection for ftp, samba, nfs (or whatever)
ftp/nfs servers for the pc come with xwin, nfs for amiga is availibe on the aminet (nfsd by j.walton) ftp clients should be no problem.
if you just need to copy files in one direction (pc -> miggy) better use smbmount (also on aminet)

I think more easier solution is to write it on a cd :-)

I have gone with Copy to CD, it works a treat.....I had no serial cable to connect comps so that was none starter.
