Solved - Need help from someone in U.S.A. or Canada
« on: November 04, 2007, 04:45:38 PM »
Hi Folk,

Just a general plea for help. I'm trying to buy a Sonnet G4 1GHz processor upgrade for an old Power Computing PPC Mac, but Sonnet will not sell directly to anyone outside of North America. Unfortunately, the local distributors sell for tripple the price that Sonnet sells for directly.

If anyone who knows me from the forums here, would be able to help me, I would like to purchase the card from Sonnet directly, but give a North American address for them to ship to. Then, I would pay someone to post the parcel to me in Australia.

I realise this would be quite a favour, and I would be more than happy to pay someone for the time and effort with postage and handling. Would $50 plus expenses be OK for someone?

If anyone is willing/able, just let me know, and we can work something out.

Cheers,

Oliver

Edit: I have now found a shop in the U.S.A. which will send the card to me directly, so will no longer need to borrow someones address.

I just want to say a big thank you to Cecilia and da9000 who both offered to help me. I'm really very heartened by the good will in this community. Thanks a lot!  :-)
Good good study, day day up!

P.S. Sorry, I just noticed I misspelled your name in the PM.
