No "PM"?
« on: October 02, 2007, 02:57:06 PM »
Greetings all!...After I log in, seems I cannot send "PM" on my A1200; I get this message and don't know what it means: "This protocol is not supported!"...any idea what is happening?
Thank you for your time...tony

Honestly, never heard of nor have I seen that error.  Is it only with the 1200?  Are you by chance trying to drag a file or something into the message window?

Sounds to me like you're using an old/demo version of IBrowse.

Sounds like a JavaScript problem on your setup. We'll need more details to diagnose.

When I click on to send "PM" that is when I get the message. I have the registered IBrowse V1.2, been using it for some time...not only that, I cannot log on to my Yahoo account via the A-1200 to check my e-mails & various discussion groups..used to be able to log on, but last 2 years, nix...soo, instead, I have to turn off my A-1200 and turn on my IBM ThinkPad laptop to either send "PM" and to log onto my Yahoo account....
maybe it has the "East Nile Virus"?...lol..
Thanks for all that responded....Ciao!...Tony

I think that is your problem. V1.3??? That is soooo old! The current (& best version) is 2.4.

Unfortunately, IB cannot be bought at the moment, since IOSpirit gave up on Amiga. I understand the IB Team are trying to find another reseller. I suggest you at least get a demo version of 2.4 and use that, putting up with the 30 minute timeouts until you can register it.

Yeah, IB 1.2 is absurdly out of date. There was a patch to get it to 1.22, but that's still ancient.

Try the 2.4 demo in the meantime, or AWeb.
