Getting away from a 1084S
« on: September 09, 2007, 03:16:34 AM »
In the course of my tinkering with the A1200 tower I purchased, I was thinking.  i would love to get off of the 1084S monitor I have had for countless years.  What are my options to be able to use a VGA monitor?

Okay, what is a SD/FF?  I do not recognise that one.

A scandoubler. It changes the Amiga's video output signal to be compatible with standard VGA monitors. They're rare as hell, though, so be prepared for a long search with an expensive end.

SD=Scan Doubler & FF=Flicker Fixer

Just Scan Doubling does not fix the flickering of the Hires displays.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

You'll also need a CRT VGA monitor. An LCD will more than likely look like crap due to clock differences.
