Now it appears the A2630 takes over the RAM and I can only see the 4 MB on its board and the RAM on the GVP shows up as defective in the Board Diagnostics screen. It isnt defective as I pulled the card out again and it showed up fine.
Is there a way to access all of the RAM or is it a hardware limit that cannot be surmounted?
I also will be installing the Megachip in the system later on today!
The Zorro busboard have a limit of 8 Mb in the autoconfig space. So you can't add more than 8Mb zorro-RAM! You problably can“t add more 6~7 Mb this way (remember other cards use the zorro memory space, too).
If I was you, I'll keep the accelerator and put the RAM-board in a safe place for an incertain future backup (or sell it!).
The Megachip is a good piece of h/w, btw. Go for it.
