The search for Toasterlink
« on: August 11, 2007, 07:55:56 PM »
Gentlemen and Ladies,

I'm looking for a copy of the Toasterlink software which Newtek produced which runs on an old Mac and an Amiga with a videotoaster to allow the mac to control the videotoaster. Newtek has tried to find a copy so far unsuccessfully in there warehouse, so I'm trying to help my fellow VTFML moderator out by asking here and on Amigaworld.net.

You'd think they would have kept backups of their own software...

Why would you want a mac to control it anyway?

@ hamtronix

It does seem a bit odd, but the selling point was to get Mac users into the Toaster by allowing them to use native Mac programs to create graphics as well as a more familiar UI.

Too bad you didn't ask a couple of weeks ago, because I saw this software on eBay.

@hamtronix,

I have heard that rumor/myth too, but my version said it was actually Newtek that was the booth sponsor and were having so much trouble with the PC demonstration, they brought in an Amiga to use under the table at the last minute.

Urban legend??? Maybe???
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)
