Elbox Fast ATA 1200 MK-III

I have just bought one of these from AmigaKIT and installed it in my toered A1200, i have an 8gb hdd as prim master with a dvd as slav and a 40gb hdd as sec slave how do i get the controler to use the drives as 1 complete drive and not say 8gb 2 partition and the 40 as god nows how many, i thought that it did'nt have the 4gb limit on these?

Switch off splitting in FastATAPrefs.

Right i booted without startup-sequence and went into prefs and typed ata3prefs and i get up the screen but there is nothing about split just pio modes and resident?
