It is worth maybe 5% of that BIN price.

[EDIT]
I meant to say 1%

he means BIN is 41.00 for sure

That's a shame as I have one of those things gathering dust on a shelf.  I may have been temped to let it go for $8000.   :-D

I wouldn't even pay half that for a fully working A3500 prototype!

Is someone gonna tell him? Wonder what the eBay BIN fee was?!?

I was given one of those, tho it seems to be broken, I guess that means the one I have is only worth £2000

Well look at his other auctions, reasonable BIN-prices I would say. So a typo is the most likely option here.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

no doubt someone has told him it's got a crazy value in by now, still it'll help more people see his auction no doubt :)
