I used it in my A1200 and i can chat with all my Messenger friends.

You have to sign in with a Jabber server ( I use www.tipic.com )

Now i use Konverse in my AmigaOne but i prefer Jabberwocky.

Good bye.

Gav, for a start calm down and stop cursing like a mad b@stard, being calm is the one key to getting anywhere with computers.

1. Check MUI is installed correctly. i.e. do other MUI apps work okay?

2. Check you have the right *.mcc libs, if you have them but it still doesn't work download the latest ones from aminet?

3. If it still doesn't start, reinstall jabberwocky.

Otherwise post back here saying how you got on.
Restraining orders are just another way of saying I love you!

Yeah i have the classes and stuff,if i press install on mcc class it is really quick. If i check the mu/libs it never actually put it in?so i do it by hand..What about all the other files you get with the mcc classes..Like 060 pch? here does that go?
Im confused, thanks for the reply though :-)

@Gav
You are not the first one having the same MUI problem. For me it worked from first time, I am using it on Pegasos though and all my libraries etc. are up to date. Thats whats probably happening, you have something that JW uses and it's too old version. I checked the docs and here are the classes I am using:

NList.mcc 20.111
Textinput.mcc 29.5
MailText.mcc  NONE(!)

I seem to miss mailtext.mcc eventhough its mentioned in docs.. well as long as it works :-)

Where can I get NList.mcc 20.111 and the newest TextInput? I have looked, and all I find are, NList.mcc 19.98 or something like that.

Get "snoopdos" from aminet. When its loaded, it will monitor your computer and tell you what files your programs are trying to load. This is an essential amiga tool, because it will easily tell you if you are missing files that another program needs.

I just downloaded jabberwockey off aminet, to see what it was like (MSN on amiga).. It said cannot create MUI application. I ran snoopdos, and tried it again, and it turned out it was missing a texteditor class. I went to aminet and searched for it, installed it, and now jabberwockey starts up fine. Just have to figure out how to use it now. :)

Aminet address: http://wuarchive.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/

Good luck Gav.

-Edit-

I'm trying to register a new jabber account, but it just says "connecting.." for ages. I've tried registering with three different servers.. jahc00@jabber.org @jabber.net and @amessage.at ... :/ Does it matter that I'm using WinUAE?
