Compatibility...
« on: June 17, 2007, 09:18:07 AM »
Well, hello again.

Just another, half-pointless, thread about compatibility between various Amiga versions.

Firstly, I'm the owner of an A500 (with three dead RAM-extensions), and can either purchase another A500 with working RAM extension, or move onto the A600/1200.

The problem is, I have stacks and stacks (literally - like 4m^2) of A500 games, however I'm unaware of what is compatible with the later model Amigas.

So is their some kind of list, or a general rule or something? It'd be great to know before I rush into it :)

Hi, with an A1200 you can boot it up with a "degrader" disc to allow many of the old games to work. I guess the modern answer is WHDload and a hard drive !
