NEED WB 2.0 disk
« on: May 29, 2007, 01:32:15 AM »
Hi everyone,

My kid discovered my Amiga 2000 and a boatload of games and software recently. Being a self taught "WINDOWS" guru he frankly had no idea what he was doing, and managed to delete a utility from the "ORIGINAL" Workbenck 2.0 disk.

I can not find a back up and I desperatly need to restore the missing file on the disk. I am also missing a kickstart disk (I have a multiboot setup with 2.0 and 1.3, 1.3 requiring kickstart). I do not want to use a game every time I want to boot into 1.3.

Anyone have any ideas where I can get copies of these?

Thank you and best regards,

W.O.P.R.

Hey. I'm the earlier-mentioned 'kid' in my dad (WOPR)'s post. By recently, he means like, a year ago BTW...    And I'm not as bad with amigas as before. Now I know what I'm doing instead of just trying to act like I was in windows.    Also... The earlier-mentioned 'Multiboot' is called MultiSwitch II. Just adding that to make sure everyone knows what he's talking about.  :-D  Well, back to trying to get BridgeBoard to work with the 1.2 workbench... The ironic thing is that it's so I can play the IBM version of Populous, which was originally coded for Amiga.

The bridgeboard had a bridgeboard boot disk if i remember right (had one many years ago).  You might be able to find a d/l for it somewere on the net but like i said it was late 80s early 90s that i had it.  Im sue that someone here can get you a copy of the 2.0 WB, I unfortunately only have 3 and up anymore.

on the subject of the bridgeboard... it isn't the disks that's the problem with that, it was getting it to work because the configuration wasn't working right for some reason. ignore that part of my post, because frankly, it's completely irrelevant to the topic of the thread. Also, someone that contacted my dad via PM has offered to help with getting the workbench and kickstart disks we need, so until further notice, we are getting the help we need and this thread is only for discussing the stupidity I expressed when I accidentally screwed up the workbench disk or anything else mentioned in the previous posts.
