Amiga 1200 (1D4) + Phase5 PPC 603 --> blank screen

I have problems with Amiga 1200 (rev. 1D4) and a Phase 5 PPC 603 accelerator.  When I turn the system on (power from modded ATX-PSU) nothing happens, just a black and empty screen (on TV) and hum from the PPC's fan.  The system contains only mobo + keyboard adapter + PPC.  The only response which I get is when I try to make a softboot (key shortcut), the system seems to reboot (lights on the keyboard flashes a moment).  

Well the mobo itself is working (tested), so it's not about that.  Then I thought about the mobo revision. Ok so it's 1D4 and can cause some problems with accelerators. Then I looked tutorials about to fix the mobo (remove E123c and E125c capacitators). The funny thing is that these capacitators are already missing on the mobo (so no fix needed???) The mobo seems to be an orginal / un-modded, so I am pretty sure that the capacitators were not removed by the previous owner. :-o

I also tried to reconnect the PPC and I also added the floppy powerconnector into mobo and RAM into PPC, but nothing changed!

I am getting pretty desperate. Whether the mobo is {bleep}ty odd-version or the mobo and PPC are incompatible or the PPC is broken. Whatta great options!

Serious now: 1D4 was a really f{bleep} revision. Can you you try another WORKING mobo?

If you pull out the PPC the 1200 works? No hd? No Floppy drive (if not, that is the problem: broked/missed drive prevents the Amiga to work)...

I had 3 A1200... all where 1D4... never faced a problem with them! I tried bppc/1260/1230/Apolo1230/Mtec030/zorroIV busboard/mediatorZIV/rbm zorroII/FastATA/bvision/grex1200 and various rtg cards... I never had issues! and I never did any fixes on them...
try the bppc on another A1200, it could be toast...

Missing drives will not prevent the computer from booting. It just takes a bit more time to show you the boot screen.

What Blizzard PPC is it? With 040 or 060, with SCSI or without? The 040 cards really needs some power in order to power up, and many are known to need a reset after power up in order to get it booting. The simple way to fix this is by powering the computer with three power sources; the original PSU socket, the floppy power socket as well as directly to the PPC card itself.

I have used a BPPC 040/160/SCSI card, which is one of the most power hungry PPC cards, with a rev. 1D4 motherboard for over a year. Powered from a 250W PSU, and it's running steady as a rock.
