I don't know which one is best but you don't need an adaptor if you have the A1200 motherboard revision 2b
The rev 2b have a connector for any amiga keyboard...(A4000/A2000/cd32)
but if mobo is not rev 2b or your idea is to add a pc keyboard you must buy any adaptor

I don`t think its a case of what is the best, as they do the exact same thing and thats to allow a PC keyboard to be used on an Amiga.

The thing to remember is the Keymap that is on your Amiga.
Foe example I used to use the GB keymap but as I now use a PC keyboard there are certain keys that are not in the same place as on an Amiga keyboard.
So I use PCKey from Aminet this gives me proper access to all the Amiga keys that you would be used to.

It allows a PC keyboard to be remapped to the Amiga keyboard.
SO as to what is the best I don`t really think matters as they both do the same thing as each other.
Amiga 1200, 82gb HD, 4 way IDE\'97, DVD Multi-Recorder, OS3.9, BB1,BB2, Apollo Turbo MkII 030/40, 32meg Fastram, 4Gb CF card PCMCIA slot, IDE CF card adaptor 4Gb CF card, HP 810C, Alba HDTV, Converted PC PSU. C128, C64, C16, Plus4, 1701, 1570, 1541MkII, ARP6.0,KCS Power Cart, FreezeFrame MK3B, Freeze Machine, Simons Basic,  PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3 HDMI and 1TB HD+ 80gb USB HD, PS3 TV add on, Sound Surround speakers for PS2,PS3,PC, and Amiga Amazing so

Thanks for this information. This might actually be useful to me as I use a pc keyboard on my 2000.

I have a Keyra and I could never figure out the ctrl amiga amiga combination on the pc keyboard. Tried everything I could think of.

I'll try PCKey tonight if I can find it.

It is quite important to get the right one - as mentioned earlier, multiple keypresses on the Amiga are pretty much essential.   I couldn't imagine not being able to CTRL-C to escape etc.
Mine is the one which came with Power Computings's Power Tower (it could be the PC-key 1200, but no reference to a name is in the manual, it is always referred to as "the universal keyboard adaptor" or "the keyboard interface").  It does support multiple presses.

Cheers
