Wireless network woes!

I've got a working Compaq WL110 wireless network card which im trying to use on my A1200.
This exact card is listed on the Prism2 documentation as working as the model number is detected in CardPrep.
I've installed CardPatch and CardReset into the startup-sequence after SetPatch. The card must be switched on as when the miggy is switched on one of the two lights flickers slightly.
I'm directing Miami 3.0 to 'networks/prism2.device' using Unit 0 and a message comes up saying:
"Miami is unable to open device 'networks/prism2.device' unit 0. The device might be in use. Error 0.

This is the same error message that appears if nothing is entered in the box, if you see what I mean!

What am I doing wrong?

Well, I'm not sure how Miami reads its paths, but you'll want to make sure it's going to DEVS:Networks/prism2.device.

There's also another init command you need to run from the startup-sequence. See the included docs. Also, you may need to install the supplemental firmware file. I thought I didn't need it, but it turns out that I did.

Has it been tested in a PC laptop?

You shouldn't need the firmware for this card. Even if you haven't set up the wireless parameters, the device shouldn't fail to open.

I've tried typing 'DEVS:Networks/prism2.device", "Networks/prism2.device" and "Prism2.device" with all the same error messages.
Whats the other init command that I will need to run?
How do I install the HermesII firmware?

I've tried and tested this card in a tower PC I have which has a PC Card slot and it works fine.

When should the power light on the network card turn on?
All I get is a flicker when the reset signal is sent.

I have seen that
this  guy has got his working. EDIT: Oh yes... it's you Matt! well  and the other guy with the same card as me then!
There must be something I am doing wrong!

Have you tried everything that scap61 tried in that thread (eg. sanautil)? Do you have any Squirrel software installed?

I have a card that I think is just a rebranded version of yours, and the power light only comes on when the card is brought online. However, this can vary for different cards and even for different firmware versions on the same card (the firmware is stored on the cards for these models).

I've just seen it on aminet, atm I'm using 3.0b2 or something like that.

UPDATE:
Right, I'm using Miami Deluxe (which I got from Aminet)
It does appear that it still cannot find the network card.
I have made sure there are no DosDrivers in Devs and I've tried 2 A1200 motherboards.
The thing that gets me is that all of the information is gathered using CardPrep but the card is not even recognised by either Sanautil or Miami.
Would there be anything to do with different card revisions?
I'm pritty sure that it must be something im doing wrong somewhere!
I will have a go at reformatting my Hard Disk later on when I find my install disk :-P

You didn't say whether you've ever used a Squirrel. CardPrep bypasses the driver and doesn't look for exclusive access to the PCMCIA slot. You can test if anything else is using the slot by running modemtest from Aminet. If it says "Can't own card", some other software is using the slot.

There shouldn't be any need to do anything as drastic as reformatting your HD. Even changing Miami versions was unnecessary.

The reason I wanted to use another hard drive is that the one currently in the machine wasn't reformatted when I got it a couple of years ago so I didn't know the hardware he used.
I installed another hard disk with all the basics and now Miami is recognising the card!
There must've been something on the other hard disk like a Squirrel driver or something. Though I couldn't find anything with the name of squirrel or anything in the DEVS: drawer.
