Hama Genlock question
«

Hi,
None of the info I've seen about the 290 and 292 mentions the A1200 or A4000, also the packaging only mentions the other machines. Does this mean it won't work on the AGA machines?
Cheers

Genlocks are analogue devices, so as long as you stick to PAL/NTSC screen timings, they'll work. I've got a 292, but no A1200/4000...

I know that the original SuperGen (external) required modification to be compatible with AGA machines. But the SuperGen plugs right into the Amiga's RGB port... I don't know how these Hama genlocks connect.
I don't know what made the SuperGen incompatible or how one can tell it's not working. Mine already had the mod.
Maybe there is some small difference on the RGB port of a 500/2000 than on a 1200/4000?
good luck,

its only a matter of different timimg management on the ExtClock signal.
a little modification (or a jumper/switch setting) is required for the A1000 and for the A3000 only. No problems with A500, 2000, 1200 and 4000.

The 292 is switchable to 'A3000' mode.

I've got a Hama 292 Genlock and it works like a dream with my A1200, it even takes its power from the miggy, which im sure happens with other genlockers too!
