What kind of CPU do you have?

Did you just change ROM and tried to boot?

Amiga 4000T - A3640 '040
Amiga 4000 - CS MKIII
Amiga 1200 - Blizzard 1230 MKIV
Amiga 1200 - Stock
Amiga CD32 - TF360
A bunch of ol' A500's

Have you just upgraded the ROMS?  If you have tell us what version kickstart ROMs you have fitted.
I believe the A3000 version, should be 40.55!
Use the early boot menu to disable all HDD and boot from DF0: with NO floppy disk in the drive.  You should get the kickstart screen.  The version number will be on the purple screen.
The A3000 kick roms are kind of unique, ROMS from other machines 1200/4000/etc don't work.  The A3000 requires some special bonus code attached to the ROM.
2 x A1200 Blizzard IV 030@50Mhz
1 x A3000D 030@25Mhz
1 x A2000 030@25Mhz
1 x A2000, 2 x A600
2 x A500

Just for a lark try this:

set the MAXTRANSFER on your SYS: (workbench) partition to 0x1FE0 (write down the old number so you can set it back if it doesn't work).

It sounds crazy, but it just might work.  On my A3000 running OS3.9, AmiDock ALWAYS gives me a RAMLIB error on starting unless I set the Hard drive this way.  It doesn't make sense, it seems insane, but it works.
Music I've made using Amigas and other retro-instruments: http://theovoids.bandcamp.com

The kickstart version doesn't denote what type of Amiga it was made for.
There are A3000 versions of 40.55,40.68 and 40.70

The A3000 requires some special bonus code attached to the ROM.

Only for ROM images on a SuperKickstart disk
On schedule, and suing
