Overpriced, at that price I reccon there should at least be all the front plastics present if the CDrom and seccond floppy isn't included.

A few things I noted...

2. There's no mention about the modified front of the A4000, hole for an extra led made with a round drill, quite an eyesore if you ask me.

3. There's no mention about bent chassi. The angle of the picture shows of a smaller bend at the buttom but the striking thing is the top cover that must look awfull from the front but from this angle is just noticable.

I would deffinitly not "BID WITH CONFIDENCE" on this item...

I totally agree with Brian and AMIGAZ. The cameras flash has made the front panel *appear* bright and clean. But what would a photo taken in natural daylight show? Look at the dirt on the floppy drive  :-o

Since this is a free country (where I am typing from anyway) and free forum:  I have some comments!  LOL

Yes that 4000 needs some work before it can be sold for anywhere near that amount!  First fix the chassis, add a freaking $20 CD-ROM drive already!!  Install the face and cover on straight.  Lower about $100-THEN it might sell!

I have to agree with the people here. You laughed at me when I offered to pay $150 for a basic 1200. Now it's my turn to laugh as you offer a machine with gaping holes in the front for $350.

To put things in perspective, I got a much nicer A4000/030 from a local Amiga guy here for $100. With a CD-Rom drive. He even threw in a box of software.

Reality check on aisle three please.

I think he means that the battery in A4000s is only used to keep the time and date so the machine in the auction will work properly with its battery removed (apart from keeping the time and date). I don't think he's trying to claim that the Amiga in the auction actually is able to keep the time and date, just trying to reassure buyers that might be worried that the battery is a critical component.

You're probably right although I would have said it in a different way so it was crystal clear (with such operations you want to see pictures, not just take a sellers word for the truth). Still point 2 and 3 are valid though.
