I would rather like one of those myself

tho I'd also like some replacement joypads first the original one is long disintegrated and I can't play the games at the moment

I Guess if they're going to make more I should sell one of mine now? I have two of these and although I was expecting more out of this hardware when I bought them years ago, they do help a lot of games.

They wont make any more of these.

The 182-pin edge connectors are not made anymore and to have more made you have to place a minimum order of 1000 at about £1.50 each.

With the only company that still has the tooling to make them being ADAM-Tech.

The SX32Pro is a bit overkill. People would rather have (IMHO) a very very cheap addon which just adds FAST RAM so that more WHDload slaves work.

I created a CD32 expansion prototype last year. It had 4-Meg RAM with RGB SCART out. Cheap cheerful offering everything that I thought CD32 owners wanted.

But I could only get 3 samples from ADAM-Tech without having to order 1000, there wasnt enough of a market to make 1000 and so I dropped the idea.

I later tried to create a cheap PASSIVE adapter that converted from the CD32 edge connector to the A1200 trapdoor connector. So that you could use A1200 accelerators with the CD32. This used 2 connectors and was very cheap to make but the NRE meant I had to sell 200 to break even.

If someone manages to find a source of these MCA connectors in lower volumes I would definately be interested!

I'd rather have a more complete upgrade than just a memory upgrade, the cd32 is a nice convenient size

I wonder though how many people would want an upgrade anyway, indeed it's very doubtful that there'd be 1000 people wanting to buy one of any kind.

The passive adaptor sounds interesting too, but if I'm going to upgrade the cd32 I'd really like an internal hard drive.

Guess it boils down to "how much" and "how many"
