Connecting a usb Joypad to the Samm440EP?

HI  all im wanting to connect a usb joypad to the sam440 i have, i have attached the internal usb lead to the connecter on the motherboard and plugged in my usb joypad but how do i configure it any ideas?

You should find AmigaInput in the Preferences directory. From there you can configure your USB game pad, although I'm not entirely sure how well it works as I've never used a Sam or OS4.

Thanks cammy thats great i will give it a try, ive been playing doom on it that you did for me works a treat on the sam

Well i just trying connecting a logic3 joypad and a xbox joypad but workbench says it is not configurable? does anyone know a compatible joypad?

Somebody must know where i can get a USB Gamepad/Joypad for my sam?

xbox joypad will not work, at least at the moment !
but a lot of others even noname will.
I am using a tech mobility from TechTools and a SpeedLink Strike2 but make sure you got latest AOS4.1 and updates...

how do i get the latest updates? sorry im still pretty new to the OS

You have to register to Hyperion website with the serial number of your AmigaOS4.1 CD and then you will be able to download the 2 updates.

I've got my Logitech gamepad working great under OS4.1 Update 2 and with E-UAE under gl_UAE (many have said that RunInUAE works fine too with the gamepad).  I would install update 2 and then see this link at amigans.net http://www.amigans.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=3619&forum=27&post_id=45986#forumpost45986

also, Spirantho over at amigans has been updating many drivers for the Catweasel MK4+ under OS4.1u2 and true SID emulation and the use of classic joysticks should be here soon:)
