MS Vista

Although MS Vista like most things is unneccessary - but is more secure than previous MS OS (of which I have 4 on 4 PCs), I bought a portable with Vista and it will run the excellent Cloanto 'Amiga Forever'.

Even though I still have 2 real Amigas left of about 14 purchased, I use my 3 purchased Cloanto AF packages to run Amiga programmes excellently/cheaply.

IMO the Amiga did die in 1994, and memories are more cheaply/effectively recalled via £30 Cloanto 2 DVD/CD package top/bottom/any Amiga inc CD32 via emulation.

That's what I used to say.  But I always loathed the day I sold my A2000 in 1996.
It was a chance meeting in 2005 with a A1200; hidden inside a TV Noticeboard electronic box at work, which was being thrown out. The Keys and floppy slot were the only thing visible under the beige metal skin.  But when I saw the two "A" Amiga keys the heart started to pound. Opening up the beige steel box I found a perfectly preserved A1200.  Complete with power supply.  (the keyboard has UV fade as it was exposed.)
It was like a kids Christmas.
Now I have my A2000 back and an A500 to complete the collection.
I tried using emulators from '97 on.  The older versions weren’t as good as the latest, but there is nothing in IT compared to "having and holding" a "real" Amiga.
