How high will it go?
« on: February 11, 2007, 04:10:48 PM »
Seriously, these are out of control!   If peeps are buying these up thinking that they will one day be worth their weight in gold (literally), they are going to have a long wait. I do believe that you can can get an A1200 cheaper from AmigaKit!   This will be fun to watch with 3 days still to go!

I believe that people have a love-hate relationship with inflation. They hate inflation but love everything that causes it.

I mean it's a nice bundle but still though, I probably would build my own! $370+ is too much "Like New" 10yrs ago.  Then you still have to pay for expansions ect. to get it to today's performance...assuming it is going to be used, and not laying around to appreciate!

Someone really wants that badly. I threw in a few bids to see how high it would go but like you say, it's crazy that it's almost reached $400 for a pretty basic A1200.

Terrorists are hiding bank account information on the eproms to supply funds to al-Qaeda!  :-o   Operatives bid them up real high to ensure that Amiga geeks can't hijack the machine!

Unboxed A1200 with warranty sticker intact.. I dunno... that IS pretty rare... ;)

I know none of the stickers on the 4 I've got are intact anyway... lol..
In fact only 1 is still in it's original case..

That makes me feel pretty good about my purchase.  I just picked up an A4000 desktop for $150.  No battery leakage, fully populated with memory. System is in nice shape with no yellowing.  I didn't get any boxes, disk, or manuals..  But who cares  :-)

That gave me an Idea, I have a load of warranty stickers from long ago. I should sell those on ebay.  :-D

Sounds like a good deal - $150 - that's about £77!!! Enjoy :-)
