IIRC, amiga.de was used back in the old Escom/Petro Tyschtschenko days when they used to have an office in Germany

Edit:
By the marvels of archive.org, Amiga Inc's website from April 1997
On schedule, and suing

I think that domain is just left over from the old Petro Tsychenko (sp?) days when most of Amiga Inc.'s operations were based in Germany, and they had a full German language version of the company's site.

The current Amiga owners just continue to pay for that domain and redirect it to the current site.

amiga.de is exactly the same as the regular amiga.com site. And yes, amiga.de was used by the Petro T branch.

Ah, more nostalgia. Amiga Technologies / Amiga International had a great website: Informative, relative to (then) current and past products, useful downloads, dealer networks, etc.

Petro was a real charismatic guy. We could use someone like him at the helm now.

Yeah - too sad he got chucked out!
BTW - does anyone know the reason for that?
I have a weak remembrance of a news article telling he gave the MOS team access to (a part of) AOS - could this have been the reason that he got fired after AMINO/BillMcEwen took over, changed the plans for a "next gen Amiga PPC OS" and mandated Hyperion to do OS4?
All the best,

Dandy
