I think my Amiga with C= instead of A keys is rare, Ive seen loads of these keyboards.

The caps lock LED does look a bit groovy and different though. Almost worth the money ;-) but not quite.

I got an A500 the other week with a C= key, it was an old KS1.2 model in pretty good condition. The "feel" of the keyboard seems different to the later A500 I have...

Rubber vs. metal springs I would guess.

Nothing compared to the early A2000 KBDs with small F-keys (as the one offered in the auction).

The C= key keyboards have individual keyswitches.

It's not like the common Mitsumi stuff that had springs vs rubber cups.

I have a C= key keyboard for both the A500 and the A2000.. Very nice feeling, in my opinion better than the rubber cup Mitsumis that most big box Amigas shipped with. :-)

Those A2000A keyboards with red Amiga keys were made by Cherry, if my memory hasn't totally forsaken me. Can't remember the manufacturer of the C= key keyboards, though.. Some three letter acronym, I think it was. :-)

My very first Amiga, an early 500 that I regretably no longer own, had the keyboard with C= key, and I loved the feel of it. Everything else feels "mushy" to me or, as in the case of an old, old PC keyboard I use, "clicky." The C= key keyboard is juuuuuust right. At some point, I ended up with an 2000 keyboard that was the same as my old 500 keyboard , C= key and all. I transplanted the guts into an 3000 keyboard casing I have (for the cool styling), got a PS2 adapter, and that's the keyboard I use now with my 4000.

If I ever again run across an early 500 with the C= key, I will buy it.

I'd also like one more C= keyboard, a big box one with the small enter and left shift keys, as seen here in Europe.

My big box one has the US layout and thus it's a bit of a pain to use, as I have to use Alt to get the <> and *' characters. The one in the A500 is german, so all the keys are present. :-)
