I have heard some flicker fixer/scandoublers don't display AGA games & demos correctly. Which ones do? I am looking for one for my A1200

Nah, people only live in Canberra because they are either related to a politician, or are abusing the fact that Canberra is the only state/Territory that has legal pornography.

Thats why The Australian Government holds parliment there.

The CM-345S is a very good SD/FF for multiple use,
and it's AGA compatible. See link:

all internal A1200 scandoublers/flickerfixers are not fully 24bit ones...
the external tend to be more precise, though I cannot remember if there is a fully 24bit one...

look on the BBOAH, under the Flickerfixer & Scandoubler section:

The CM-345S is real 24bit...see the thread about it.
 :pint:

EDIT:
Here's some more technical info about the 24bit
capability of this device:

www.smartasic.com/PDF/STV108_Feature_Sheet.PDF

The main procesor on board is called "Smartasic STV108",
and it's capable of handling 24bit.

I can confirm the DCE internal scandoubler/FF is not fully 24-bits. Since I do not use my amiga for graphics editing anymore I consider this a annoyance rather then a big problem. Most games do not show the ill effects. One example of a game that does is Extreme Racing where the gradient in the sky is not smooth. Bars appear due to the lost bits.

Erno
