Running GVP 286 under WB3+, AtOnce with 32-bit RAM?
« on: October 25, 2006, 05:37:05 AM »
I have an A530 Turbo and an Impact Series II HD8+.  Both have the 100(?)-pin header to sport the GVP 286 emulator card.  I remember having it working under WB2, but after I upgraded to WB3, the launcher would crash, so I've been using PC Task instead.

Anyone know of software or BIOS updates which fix this?  Or has anyone seen this hardware run under 3.1+?

I also have two (seemingly different revisions) of the Vortex AtOnce drop-in PC hardware emulators.  I've NEVER used them other than to test, so I have not had real chance to play.  Can these emulators access RAM outside of Zorro space, such as 32-bit memory on accelerators like the Derringer?

My questioning on this is mostly because I have become more interested in revisiting DOS-based applications and utilities, especially under FreeDOS.  I'd prefer to turn up a 486 bridge card, but they seem exceptionally rare.
