An updated audit of Amiga Inc. assets
« on: September 24, 2006, 12:39:53 PM »
Hi again folk,

I posed the question earlier as to what gave Amiga the gall to think it could ask a $500 000 minimum from hardware partners.  Surely a company who wants serious interest must have some serious assets.

So given recent news I think its time to gather a list of what Amiga *has*.  So far I can think of these:

Amiga brand - It counts

AmigaDE/AmigaAnywhere - The mobile apps/games market is underrated, but this would be a potent product.  AmigaAnywhere is already the basis of a number of such apps.

AmigaDevIndia - Seems like they have their own line of intellectual property in mobile apps and big-name clients.

AmigaOS4 - Coming to the end of production, it has great potential for embedded devices and legitimate competition to other solutions in this market.  Though it still seems to be dogged by legal hiccups.

AmigaOS5 - Not even half-way into development.  Not enough known.

That is all I can think of of the top of my head, but it looks like the Amiga isn't worth just $10 000 anymore.  Of course value is often very subjective, but I think these few products could be marketed at least business-to-business to increase the speculated worth of Amiga Inc.

Are there any more 'things of value'?  Have you changed your valuation of Amiga Inc. since the last thread?

Again, how much is Amiga worth?

Jarrod.
