« on: May 18, 2003, 06:16:22 PM »
Yeah im having major problems with my 1200,this has happend a few times before but it seem to be worse.I was about to go online and it locked up?
then reset and here is the msg. Recoverable alert
Error: 01000 0003 Task 440147.
Now i aint got a clue? then after that it wouldnt boot at all, then the screen was going yellow and green.I then got it up and running again so i loaded up hd toolbox to verify data it then crashed with a software failure red error screen.
Its now working fine again for now,so does anyone know why its doing this? i have a 1260,powerflyer,128mb and a 4 gig hardrive.
Any help is help is great thanks

I guess you have a tower (?). Do you also have a Zorro 4 bus? If so I've found a 'design fault' which gives the red screen, etc.

Also the Power Flyer attachment in the original ROM sockets is very dubious IMO. The kit includes a pair of plastic ties to ensure the PF stays put, but how the Heck you're supposed to do this is unclear. Check that the PF if completely into the sockets. The card should be in contact with the sockets face.

Cheers,

If you're using a kickstart 'rekicker', make sure
it's Blizkick...I had problems with the yellow
screen upon reset with other similar programs
and the 1260.
