Ebay Problem
« on: August 29, 2006, 09:08:31 PM »
I just logged on to ebay to buy some items. I went to pay pal to pay for my items. Then i logged back on ebay to find my account has been suspended. I've emailed ebay with no response and when i went on to live chat to speak to someone i was told they weren't able to answer my questions. i then logged on to ebay forums only to find other people ebay has been doing this too. Anyone got any sugestions?

Assuming no transactions have recently gone wrong (eg. resulting in too many unpaid item strikes) it could be that there has been suspicious activity on your account. How careful are you about phishing e-mails?

It could also be a genuine mistake. I recently got an e-mail from Ebay suggesting that a seller I had bought from may have been dodgy and that my bid on his item had been cancelled (I already had the item!) However, a couple of days later I got an e-mail from saying that it had been a misunderstanding.

All I can suggest is that you keep e-mailing Ebay. They should really tell you why they've suspended your account.

Dump eBay. They suspended my account for no reason. I have sold 2 items, and bought 2, and all of these went fine. Their final word was, that my account "appeared to be associated with another account that may have had problesms".
I actually do better with craigslist, and a couple other sites.
Every one I know has had trouble with eBay one way or another. The hell with 'em.

Was this done from a windows based PC? Check for Malware. And find actual phone numbers for eBay and PayPal, especially PayPal.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!
