laptop cdrom and sound connectors
« on: August 16, 2006, 12:26:51 PM »
Hi all,
I have just installed a laptop cdrom in my a1200 and I would to know how to connect the audio cables to the a1200 to get sound, or do I have to run an extended cable to the sound card of my pc?
Or how do I make and connect rca cables from cd to speakers any ideas?
I cant see any connector pins on the motherboard as far as I can tell thanks.

Im still having troubles getting it to show under idefix:

Any ideas?

Anyway to get audio you need to get a cd audio to RCA cable and chop out some holes in your case for the new RCA ports. Then use an RCA mixing cable with 4 male and 2 female connectors to mix the native and cdrom audio together.
