Firstly Spaceballs: Simply State Of The Art is not FMV (full-motion-video) as such,

Well, when there's dancing and graphics moving from the top to the bottom, and the farthest left side to the farthest right side I call that full motion video. Even if it's not a broadcast television feed etc.

But thanks for the tip. Noted.

Anyway... There are a lot of pretty decent ECS demos as well (State of the Art being a prime example of that.)

In fact, there were some nice NewTek ECS demos too! Anybody got a link to those?

Thanks again!

mr a500,

I have AMCAF but I don't think I have the demo you are on about. A mate from Germany downloaded a load of AMOS extensions and sent them to me on disks (I don't have a modem for my A600 yet). I have most of the extensions that are compatible with AMOS Pro 2.

Cow Wars (AMOS game) has a very cool (and funny) intro to it which I recommend you check out, though the game itself is ok (kinda like Worms, only you just do the aiming bit).
Base Jumpers is another great AMOS game, aswell as SokoBan. Though neither really have a special intro to them.

I might try to do my own AMOS demo at some point. I have loads of plasma effects which are very cool and a very clever demo that uses like 200 bobs! (not really, it cleverly uses 5 screens in sync, but it blew me away until I fiddled with the coding and realised what he was doing.

Regards,

The AMCAF demo I was talking about is called "No Good (Start the Dance)". It is pretty simple and repetitive (only 4 effects really), but has good music. The impressive thing about it is how it makes fast changes exactly with the drum beat and words of the song.

If you plan on making AMOS demos, you should check out this and the "BigAmcafIntro" (which shows all the AMCAF effects) that also came with the plugin.

If you're interested in AMOS games, you should check out DawnVideoPoker and Babeanoid - both by Richard Fhager. They are the two best AMOS games I found. (Richard Fhager also made the nice TrigNumy fractal program)

Silents/Crionics - Hardwired
Silents - Global Trash
Silents - Ice
Red Sector - Megademo
Red Sector - Cebit 90
Kefrens - Desert Dream (of course :-P)

I think that is most of my favorites. Still stick them on now too   :-)
