Ibrowse Navigation Bar ?
« on: May 30, 2006, 02:28:28 AM »
Hi Guys,

I'm trying to make my IBrowse looks better. And the thing the most annoys me, are the buttons on the navigation bar.

Actually, it's no the buttons themselves, but the fact that i can't get rid off the dull gray square frame around the buttons ! :-(

I tried every configuration on the MUI settings, and on the IBrowse preferences as well, but i couldn't make it.

Do someone knows how can i get transparent buttons, instead the dull looking frames ?

Thanks  :-)

I think the default buttons date from the AMosaic days. :nervous:

I found a nice replacement in the GlowIcon style. I think it's on Aminet.

You can get rid of the button border in MUI->Buttons->TextButtons->Frame. Unfortunately, that seems to affect every button in the program - not my preference, but maybe you'll like it :-)

Thanks Matt !

It was exactly what i was looking for.

For sure i agree with you, that having all the buttons frameless is not the best option.

But at least now i know where to mess to have the frames looking more like my taste  ;-)

I wonder why the guys behind IBrowse development didn't fix this. Take Voyager as an example. The buttons on the navigation bar use some other MUI extension, and you can have the navigation bar looking differently the rest of the buttons. Hope this change someday.

Because in Voyager is a Toolbar class while in IBrowse are buttons :-)
