filesystem woes
« on: May 01, 2006, 04:17:59 PM »
ok i have a filesystem on one hardrive in the rdb but not the currrent
format of that parttion. I would like to beable to save the filesytem
back out so i can install it to the rdb opof another drive is this
possible as I fear I have lost this filesytem and cant find the disk.
Is this possible. You see I cant mount the other hardrives which are
formatted with the filesystem in question.

not sure to have understood but..

Run HDToolbox, chose the desired HD and the menu "Save Mountlist".

You will get the mountlist and the filesystem in the RDB as well.

in os3.9 hdtoolbox (don't remember previus versions) you can save the rdb to wherever you want (ram, floppy, hd). select the drive and from menu select ''save rdb to file''. then select ''save mountfile''. with the mounlist the program export the filesystem too. i think it works and to the os3.5 hdtoolbox.
