pcmcia cd drives

I am after a pcmcia cd drive for my a1200.  Will any one do or will it have to be one specifically for amigas? Thanks
CD32 std
A1200 std
a3000 std
a500 creaky

don't mesh with this kind of cdroms. pcmcia is more usefull with a net card, just buy a cheap ide cdrom and connect it as slave at the standard a1200 ide port.

How would you power such a drive?
CD32 std

With my A600/030 I'm using a PCMCIA Alfa Data CD1200 controller with a CD-Writer hooked on it. Works great!
No problems.

i have connect a cable direct from the psu to the hard disk and the cd. take a look
