I have the Winner ZIV (Zorro IV is an invention of Elbox)
Basic Zorro slots are Zorro-II, not III. It is alround known as the most compatible busboard of them all.

This weekend i'm going to try my other A1200 mainboard. I don't trust the one which came with the tower, it already gave me the impression it's not stable, even without the busboard/mediator I often got crashes and hangups. The other a1200 was solid as a rock.

although i personally thought that the ZIV was a "not very clean" hack, i was wrong.

and usually, i tend to beleive what Jens Schönfeld (Individual Computers) claims . . .by default ;-)

nice diagramms, makes my RBM busboard to look terrible... LOL
anyway, RBM had a list of supported hardware and what works and what not, so as long as you use supported stuff you are OK.

Ok, it's getting stranger now.....

Winner Zorro IV board:
Picasso recognised as ONE card
A2091 recognised as ONE card

Winner Zorro IV Board including Mediator:
Picasso recognised as TWO cards
A2091 recognised as TWO cards

With the latter combination the whole thing crashes. With the first it works but the Picasso doesn't work and the A2091 only the RAM works.

Changed around my mainboard (2B is now a 1D4) It is more stable but that's about all....

As I recall, the PicassoII is supposed to autoconfig as 2 boards. So that's a good sign...

The strange thing is that it only autoconfigs as two board when I hook up my mediator. Same goes for the A2091.
The A2091 is seen as 2 enterily different boards, board 3 and board 4 with different id's. The Picasso is seen as two boards 2 with ID's 11 and 12.
Is that normal?

Still don't understand the Mediator role in this whole thing. It's like the Winner ZIV board only works correctly when it's hooked up with the Mediator.

Anyone here (preferably in the netherlands) who can test the Picasso for me in a real zorro machine (2/3/4000) ?

I had the same setup on my A1200, when I changed system from an A2000 which was broken. Winner Z IV and Picasso II. It never worked. The System was at a local dealer for a long time. He changed the mainbord, the Z-IV the turboboard.

It didn´t work. It was impossible to get the Picasso II working with the Z IV Board. So I ended up with a Cybervision 64/3D which worked without any problems since then.

Greetings from Greece!

The last three months, I am trying to get my Picasso II+ to work on my Amiga 1200T with 3.1 ROMS and m/b rev. 1D.

First failure: Picasso II+ on an old 4.20 A6860 Micronik board + Blizzard 1230 IV = corrupted images.

Second failure: PicassoII+ on a Winner ZIV board + Blizzard 1230IV. On early startup menu/board diagnostics I see only the Blizzard autoconfig and one entry for the Picasso. The Winner doesn't appear.

When workbench 3.1 boots up I got a warning that the vilintuisup.library cannot open. The same happens when I try to open the Picasso screen mode selector.

Any suggestion my friends?

Hello again!

I noticed that the Winner ZIV board doesnt appear in early board diagnostic, only Blizzard IV and Picasso II+ with one entry!
Unfortunatelly I do not have much time for testing but neither Picasso driver can see the card.
